AMBIGUITAS TUBUH PEREMPUAN DALAM PRAKTIK SURROGATE MOTHER DALAM NOVEL A HOUSE FOR HAPPY MOTHER KARYA AMULYA MALLADI

Abstract
The research was aimed at describing the ambiguity of women’s bodies involved in surrogate motherhood in the novel "A House for Happy Mothers" by Amulya Malladi. The theory in this research uses representation theory (Hall, 1997), women’s body theory including the maternal body (Young, 2005; Priyatna, 2018; Kristeva, 1981) and the shifting body theory (Teman, 2009).The techniques of analizing data are; 1) reduce the data according to the research problem that are the ambiguity of women’s body, including the women’s body, the maternal body, and the shifting body, 2) describe the data according to the theory and literature, 3)conclude the data that has been describe. The results show that there are three ambiguities manifested on the bodies of women who are involved in surrogacy, including (a) the women’s body, the body served as a free body and a body used by other parties, (b) the maternal body, the body served as a loving body and a service provider, (c) the shifting body, a body that undertakes and relinquishes its identity as the mother's body.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran ambiguitas tubuh perempuan yang terlibat  praktik surrogate mother dalam novel A House for Happy Mother karya Amulya Malladi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori representasi (Hall, 1997), teori tubuh perempuan yang meliputi tubuh maternal (Priyatna, 2018; Kristeva, 1981) dan teori tubuh bergeser (Teman, 2009). Adapun teknik dalam menganalis data penelitian ini yaitu; 1) mereduksi data sesuai dengan rumusan masalah yaitu ambiguitas tubuh perempuan meliputi, tubuh perempuan, tubuh maternal, dan tubuh bergeser, 2) menguraikan atau mendeskripsikan data sesuai dengan teori dan kepustakaan, 3) menarik kesimpulan atas data yang telah dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat ambiguitas yang terjadi pada tubuh perempuan yang terlibat dalam praktik surrogate mother, meliputi (a) tubuh perempuan, posisi tubuh sebagai tubuh yang bebas dan tubuh yang dimanfaatkan oleh pihak lain, (b) tubuh maternal, posisi tubuh sebagai tubuh penuh kasih sayang dan tubuh penyedia jasa, (c) tubuh bergeser, tubuh yang mengambil dan melepaskan identitas sebagai tubuh ibu.
